Line Electronic

On one of the two telephone lines to my office I get a electronic type of noise. The other line is ok.?

The noise sounds like something is “open” on the line with a airy buzz.
I found a quick answer by locating the box where the lines connect to my office. When I opened the box I discovered a test slot where I could connect a phone and discover if the problem was inside the office (my problem) or outside the office (the phone company’s problem, The good news: It is THEIR problem so I have called them to fix it!
