How do you make a mellow clean sound on an amp?

What EQ positions, reverb settings, overdrive settings, and basically anything else would I have to set everything on to get a mellow but clean sounding guitar, like some Gun’s and Roses songs, and Under the Bridge by RHCP? (one of the main reasons I’m asking) I have a Xaviere telecaster with soapbox P90’s, and an Epiphone amp with an onboard digital reverb and overdrive, but the overdrive isn’t that distorted, and I don’t have any effects pedals.

plain and simple…..kill the overdrive.the rest of the setting is more of a personal taste to you.
