Bissett, MB – (Marketwire – November 23, 2009) – Dale Ginn, CEO of San Gold Corporation (TSX-V: SGR) is pleased to report that a new gold occurrence high degree christened the 007 Zone was discovered by drilling from the surface of diamond is about 600 meters southeast of the mine hinge. Drill hole # CD-09-007 found 1787.7 grams per tonne (52.20 oz / ton) over 2.1 meters (6.9 feet) to 200 meters (660 feet) below the surface in a continuous quartz vein containing carbonate abundant visible gold everywhere. The results of this hole are summarized below, but due to the extremely high grade nature of this intersection, A table is also provided in order to present to each individual test intervals within geologically defined mineralization. The first hole drilled in this area – CD-09-001 also presented below and is above and east of hole # CD-09-007. The location of the above intersections and openings remaining pending trial data are shown in longitudinal section provided in the graphical version of this press release.

Dale Ginn, CEO of Gold San said: "Our exploration team led by Bill Ferreira has made its fourth discovery of high quality near the surface in the vicinity of our plant in the last 18 months and its third discovery this year. Hole # 007 is the highest grade intersection that I remember in the Gaza Rice Lake, rivaling the best holes drilled in the nearby camp of Red Lake, Eclipses and certainly everything we've drilled so far in the area of the hinge. This finding is further testimony to the thought single solid geological our team has conducted exploration and a credit to the time that drilling proven success of past and near producing mines brings. "

The trials are expected at the intersections of the same area in four holes: CD-09-002, 003, 004 and 005. Hole # 006 for the north-east and south-west and in the depth and surface. The area of 007 dives steeply north-northwest and is composed of quartz and carbonate veins containing gold and pyrite mineralization. The deposit appears to be dominant structural control as the three deposits (Hinge, Cohiba and L13), but the lithology is slightly different in that this deposit occurs at or near half mafic contact. Strong chloritic alteration of mafic unit is observed on contact footwall immediately below the mineralized veins, the strike length of this contact is currently unknown. A second diamond drill has been moved from the Cohiba area, to assist in the network of drilling in this area. The area 007 is located approximately 2 km northeast of gold mining St Rice Lake, the mill and fully accessible by road and is potentially accessible from the decline of mine hinge.

This program was conducted under the supervision of WAS Ferreira, P. Geo., The qualified person for this project under National Instrument 43-101. The core drilling was split, with half sent to TSL Laboratories in Saskatoon, SK and fire assayed with a AA and gravimetric finish. Total metal tests were conducted on samples that contain visible gold. Check also tests in pulp and rejects by both TSL and by Accurassay Laboratories of Thunder Bay, ON. The core lengths are actual lengths as drilled and have not been adjusted for the true width of mineralized zones.
